2025 Begins Under the Sign of Music and Speaking Out for Marie Martine Bédard
A committed artist, Marie Martine Bédard will take the stage for a major concert while also making her voice heard in the media for a crucial cause.
A Wall of Guitars at Saint Joseph’s Oratory
On March 1st, Marie Martine Bédard will take part in Instruments of Happiness: Projet 100 guitares – La grande accélération, a flagship event of the Montreal New Music Festival. This ambitious project will bring together 100 guitarists and two orchestras for a monumental sound experience at Saint Joseph’s Oratory. A unique moment where music will take on its full magnitude.
A Necessary Stand
Beyond the stage, the artist will also make her voice heard in the media for a very different reason. Alongside another survivor, she has chosen to reveal her identity in connection with a repeat sexual offender. On December 17th, while still remaining anonymous, she was a guest on Patrick Lagacé’s show to share her testimony. Today, she continues this essential process to shed light on this story and to bring hope for a fairer justice system for survivors.
Her art has always been a voice. Today, that voice resonates both in music and in truth.
Under the sign of the hippocampus, symbols of memory and resilience… let there be music and justice!
